# ClaimCheck EU

**Score:** 76/100 · **Verdict:** HIGH POTENTIAL · 2026-11-08

## Brief

**Title:** ClaimCheck EU

**Region:** Europe (launch market: Germany)

**Problem:** DTC brands in the EU face stricter rules on green claims, health claims, "was/now" price displays and ad disclosures. In Germany, competitors and trade associations can send paid warning letters (Abmahnungen) for breaches. Small teams have no in-house legal reviewer. Lawyer review is slow and costly per asset. Staff often don't know which rule applies. Brands also can't easily show later that they checked a claim before publishing.

**Solution:** An AI reviewer that scans a draft or live page and flags risky claims against four rule sets: EU green claims (the ECGT rules), EU health claims, price-history display and disclosures. It works in one pre-publish flow. A Shopify scan reads product pages. Ad-platform integrations read ads at draft or paused stage. Each check is saved in a dated evidence log, so the brand can show it reviewed the copy before publishing. Paid live-site audits cover existing pages.

**Idea type:** SaaS

**One liner:** A pre-publish AI reviewer that checks EU DTC marketing copy against green-claim, health-claim, price and disclosure rules, and keeps a dated evidence log.

### Assumptions

- **The ECGT date is wrong or ambiguous. The idea says the bans have been 'in force since 27 September 2026'. I read it as the date the rules start to apply across EU member states. The EU directive is 2024/825, and the national laws that implement it may differ.** Why it matters: Your main selling point is a legal deadline. Check the exact date and the German implementing law before you put it in marketing. A wrong date would hurt trust fast.
- **Product type is SaaS (web app with Shopify and ad-platform integrations), sold B2B. The founder left the type blank.** Why it matters: This sets the sales motion, the security expectations and the way you test willingness to pay.
- **Region is the EU, with Germany as the launch market. German-language output and German warning-letter practice are central to the product.** Why it matters: Rules and enforcement differ by country. The product must be accurate in German first. Expanding to other countries means more legal content work.
- **The buyer is a marketing or e-commerce lead at a small or mid-size brand, or an agency owner. The founder did not name a job title or company size.** Why it matters: This decides who you interview. At EUR 149 a month, a buyer who is a lawyer or a large brand may not fit. Their budget and approval steps differ.
- **The product gives risk flags and an evidence log. It does not give legal advice and does not guarantee protection from warning letters.** Why it matters: Claiming protection could create liability and regulatory risk. Whether a dated log helps in a German dispute is unproven and needs a lawyer's view.
- **The founder has no named legal expert, no existing customers and no data yet on how many brands get warning letters.** Why it matters: Evidence for demand is thin. First validate that brands feel the pain strongly enough to pay, using interviews and a manual audit, before building integrations.
**Pricing hint:** From EUR 149 a month (founder's figure). Audit price and agency tiers not stated.

**Customer type:** B2B

**Business model:** Monthly SaaS subscription starting at EUR 149 a month, plus paid one-off live-site audits. Agencies would likely need higher tiers for several client brands. Those tiers are not yet defined.

**Founder context:** Not stated. Treat as a solo or small founding team with no confirmed legal partner. Credibility on legal accuracy is a gap until a German lawyer or regulatory expert is involved.

**Target customer:** Marketing and e-commerce leads at small and mid-size German DTC brands, first in supplements and cosmetics. Second group: marketing agencies that write copy and ads for those brands.

## Overview

**No moat:** Any rival can add German health claims and price checks, because the legal texts are public and the AI models are off the shelf, so only a trusted, lawyer-backed log could ever protect you.

**Tagline:** A pre-publish claims checker for small German DTC brands. The demand is real. Whether they will pay EUR 149 a month is unproven.

### Watch out

- Legal liability. Courts judge claims case by case. A wrong 'all clear' could lead to a warning letter for your customer. Whether this counts as legal advice in Germany was not researched, so ask a German lawyer before launch.
- Price anchor. Free green-claims scans exist, and a legal-text app starts at EUR 9.90 net a month. Many small brands have no compliance budget, and EUR 149 a month is untested.
- The evidence log may be a convenience feature, not a defence. A log shows someone checked. It does not prove a claim is authorised or backed up. Ask lawyers and warning senders before you sell it as protection.
**Blind spots:** You assume a dated log helps in a warning-letter dispute, but no source found says courts or warning senders treat it as a defence, and a wrong "all clear" could hurt your customer and you.

### Bottom line

- You are not competing on features. EcoClaim and a Shopify app already check green claims, some for free. Caidera, a funded Berlin startup, covers health claims, EmpCo and an audit trail, though it looks sales-led and aimed at pharma and medtech. Your real edge is the bundle for small brands with no lawyer: health claims, price display and disclosures in one self-serve flow, in German, with a log. That is a thin edge. It holds only if the checks are accurate and a German lawyer stands behind them. You are also up against cheap, lawyer-backed products. One legal-text app starts at EUR 9.90 net a month, and law firms sell their own scanners. At EUR 149 a month you need a clear reason to be worth that gap.
- The pain is documented. In the Händlerbund survey of 335 sellers, 9% were warned in the past year. Health claims were 15% of competition-law warnings. Of the warned sellers, 41% paid EUR 1,001–2,000. The green-claims deadline of 27 September 2026 comes from German source titles and one vendor, so check it in the law. The Green Claims Directive was withdrawn, so your case rests on the Empowering Consumers Directive and existing German law. The biggest warning causes, base price (23%) and image rights, sit partly outside your four rule sets. I found no customer reviews, no pricing tests and no proof anyone pays for this. The only market figure is a EUR 53.6M TAM that rests on an unsourced assumption of 30,000 brands. This is an early idea, not launch-ready. Talk to 15–20 German supplement and cosmetics brands before you build more.

#### Signals

- **Documented problem** Note: Händlerbund survey: 9% warned in a year, costs often EUR 1–3k+. Health claims are 15% of warnings.; Strength: STRONG
- **Customers asking for a solution** Note: A 2022 Shopify thread asks for price history. A Reddit thread was seen as a snippet only. No posts asking for this product.; Strength: WEAK
- **Willingness to pay EUR 149 a month** Note: No pricing test or customer interview found. Cheaper alternatives start at EUR 9.90 net a month.; Strength: NONE
- **Existing paid behaviour** Note: Germans pay for legal-text apps and law-firm scanners such as LegalScan. Those are not claims reviewers.; Strength: WEAK
- **Competitor traction** Note: Caidera raised EUR 300,000 and EcoClaim runs a free scanner. No user counts or revenue found for any of them.; Strength: WEAK
- **Regulatory pull** Note: EU Directive 2024/825 and German health-claims enforcement give a dated reason to review copy. The 27 September 2026 date needs checking in the law.; Strength: STRONG
- **Fit with the four rule sets** Note: The biggest warning causes, base price (23%) and image rights, fall partly outside your four rule sets. Health claims and price display do fit.; Strength: WEAK
- **Proof the log helps** Note: No source says courts or warning senders treat a dated log as a defence. Untested.; Strength: NONE

#### Criteria

- **Market size** Note: The only TAM is EUR 53.6M, built on an unsourced 30,000 brand count. That is small for venture scale. SAM and SOM were not given.; Score: 4
- **Problem urgency** Note: Warnings cost thousands and health claims are 15% of them. But only 9% of sellers were warned in a year, and the top cause is outside your scope.; Score: 6
- **Competition** Note: Caidera is funded (EUR 300,000 pre-seed) and close. EcoClaim and a Shopify app are free or cheap in green claims. Porter score is 46.; Score: 3
- **Defensibility** Note: Legal texts and AI models are public. A lawyer-backed log could be a small moat, but that is untested.; Score: 3
- **Team and credibility** Note: Founder context is not stated, and there is no legal partner. Trust in legal accuracy is the core purchase reason and is currently missing.; Score: 3
- **Business model** Note: A subscription is clean. But EUR 149 a month against EUR 9.90 and free tools is unproven. Audit price and agency tiers are undefined.; Score: 5
- **Timing** Note: A German greenwashing ban date of 27 September 2026 (check in the law) and active warning letters give a dated reason to act. The Green Claims Directive was withdrawn.; Score: 7

### Leverage points

- Get a German competition or food-law lawyer on board early. Have them test about 50 real claims and publish the error rate. This is the one thing that could set you apart from free scanners.
- Be the self-serve option. Show a result from a Shopify URL in about 10 minutes, with no demo call. Caidera sells to regulatory teams, and your buyers have none. This is inference from its page copy.
- Cover the gap the research found: health claims plus price display plus disclosures for small brands. I found no dedicated price-display tool, but the search was not exhaustive. Confirm it, and check what EcoClaim's 'other checks' include.

### Tech complexity

**Note:** Scanning Shopify pages and the log are standard work. Hard parts are accuracy on German health-claim law, ad-platform integrations at draft stage, and keeping rules current. These are assumptions from the idea description, not tested.

**Level:** Medium

### Growth potential

**Note:** New EU rules and warning risk create a dated reason to buy. But the only TAM figure (EUR 53.6M) rests on an unsourced assumption of 30,000 brands. SAM and SOM were not given. Agencies are unsized and their tiers are not defined.

**Level:** Medium

### Revenue timeline

**Note:** No pricing test or customer evidence exists. Assumption: first paying customers could arrive within 6–12 months if a lawyer partner and 10 pilots are in place. At EUR 149 a month, 100 brands would be about EUR 179k a year (calculated, not a forecast).

**Value:** Unknown (6–12 months is an assumption)

## Market

### Sam

**Note:** The memo ended before the SAM section. I did not invent a figure. The memo says the SAM and SOM are rough ranges built on assumed unit counts.

**Basis:** ASSUMPTION

**Label:** Serviceable market: not in the memo

**Value:** Not stated

### Som

**Note:** The memo ended before the SOM section. I did not invent a figure. The memo warns the SAM and SOM should be treated as rough ranges.

**Basis:** ASSUMPTION

**Label:** Obtainable share: not in the memo

**Value:** Not stated

### Tam

**Note:** 30,000 brands × EUR 1,788 a year (EUR 149 × 12). The 30,000 brand count is an assumption with no source. The price is from the founder. The memo's agency line was cut off, so it is not included.

**Basis:** CALCULATED

**Label:** EU supplement and cosmetics SME brands, brand subscriptions only (agencies not included)

**Value:** EUR 53.6M

### Growth

**Cagr:** 21.1%

**Note:** This is a loose proxy, not your market. RegTech is mostly finance. Other vendors give CAGRs from 11% to 22.6% and a 2025 base of USD 18.6B to USD 26.3B. It shows compliance automation budgets are growing. It does not prove demand for your product.

**Trend:** GROWING

**Period:** 2026–2033 (RegTech proxy, Grand View Research)

### Trends

- **EU Directive 2024/825 (Empowering Consumers) targets misleading green claims. A German source title says the greenwashing ban applies from 27 September 2026.** Impact: HIGH; Horizon: NOW (0-1YR); Meaning: There is a dated legal reason for brands to review their claims. I only have the source titles for the German date, so check it in the law before you quote it.
- **German source titles describe warning letters (Abmahnungen) over health claims and greenwashing, including from the Wettbewerbszentrale.** Impact: SIGNIFICANT; Horizon: NOW (0-1YR); Meaning: Brands in supplements face real pressure on claims today. The memo gave no count of cases, so the size of the pain is unproven.
- **A source title reports that the EU Commission scrapped the separate Green Claims Directive proposal.** Impact: MODERATE; Horizon: NOW (0-1YR); Meaning: One expected rule is off the table. Your case rests on the Empowering Consumers Directive and existing German claims law.
- **German online retail was EUR 88.8B in 2024, up 3.8% (HDE). The EHI top 1,000 shops made EUR 80.4B, up from EUR 77.5B.** Impact: MODERATE; Horizon: EMERGING (1-3YR); Meaning: The sales channel is large but grows slowly. The memo found no count of small supplement or cosmetics shops within it.
- **Vendors forecast RegTech growth of about 11% to 22.6% a year. The base year size is disputed.** Impact: LOW; Horizon: STRUCTURAL (3-5YR); Meaning: Compliance automation spend is rising in general. This is background, not proof of demand for marketing-claims software.
**Verdict:** The legal trigger looks real and recent. The source titles point to the EU Empowering Consumers Directive (2024/825), a German greenwashing ban from 27 September 2026, and active warning letters over health claims. The software market is a different matter. I found no study for marketing-claims compliance software. The nearest proxy, RegTech, is mostly finance, and vendors disagree widely on its size. Every unit count in the memo is an assumption, and the memo says competitors already exist. Evidence is thin, so do not read these numbers as a forecast.

The only TAM line I can state is EUR 53.6M a year. It comes from 30,000 EU SME brands, which is an unsourced assumption, multiplied by EUR 1,788 a year (EUR 149 a month × 12). The memo was cut off before the agency line, the SAM and the SOM. I have not made those up. Treat this as an early, unproven idea. Your concrete next step is to find a real count of German supplement and cosmetics webshops, then ask 10 of them whether they would pay EUR 149 a month to check their claims.

### Segments

- **German dietary supplements brands (market they sell into, not software spend)** Rank: PRIMARY; Size: USD 7.82B (2024); Growth: 9.2% CAGR 2025–2030 (Grand View). MarketsandMarkets implies about 5.8% a year (calculated).
- **German beauty and household care brands (IKW, press kit not loaded, snippet only)** Rank: PRIMARY; Size: EUR 34.6B (2024); Growth: Not given for 2024. 2023 domestic beauty care was EUR 21.1B, up 8.6%, from a press report snippet.
- **Agencies serving these brands** Rank: SECONDARY; Size: Not sized. Assumed contract EUR 4,000 a year; Growth: No data
**Credibility:** Estimated

**Market name:** ClaimCheck EU: marketing-claims compliance software for EU supplement and cosmetics webshops

**Verdict:** Demand for the problem is real. Willingness to pay €149 a month is unproven. I would not call this launch-ready. It sits in the middle of the pack until the points below are checked.

The problem is documented. Warnings are common, they cost thousands, and health claims are a top reason. Green-claims rules are tightening, but that point rests on a vendor source.

I found no real customer voices for the product itself. There are no reviews, no complaints about existing tools and no "I would pay" posts. The one Reddit thread was readable only as a snippet. Cheap, lawyer-backed alternatives start at €9.90 a month. Free green-claims scans exist. Three AI competitors are already in the space. The biggest warning causes (base price, images, trademarks) fall outside your four rule sets.

What to validate next:
1. Willingness to pay. Interview 15–20 German supplement and cosmetics DTC leads. Ask what they spend on legal review and whether they were warned. Test €149 against a cheaper tier.
2. Agencies. Ask whether per-client pricing works. Agencies may be the better buyer, but there is no evidence either way.
3. Accuracy. Have a German competition or food-law lawyer test about 50 real claims. Publish the error rate. Settle the legal-advice question and your liability wording.
4. The evidence log. Ask lawyers and warning senders whether a dated log changes outcomes. If not, it is a convenience feature, not a reason to buy.
5. Competitors. Run the same copy through EcoClaim, Caidera, GREP and LegalScan. Find what they miss, such as German case law or Shopify-specific checks.

### Objections

- Legal accuracy. Courts judge claims case by case. A solo founder with no lawyer will struggle to earn trust, and a wrong "all clear" could cause harm. Whether the tool counts as legal advice under German law was not researched. Ask a German lawyer.
- Price anchor. Alternatives are cheap or free. EcoClaim offers scans with a free account. IT-Recht Kanzlei's legal-text app starts at €9.90 net a month. €149 a month needs a clear reason.
- Low base rate and wrong focus. Only 9% of sellers were warned in a year. The top cause, base price at 23%, is outside your four rule sets. So are image rights (26% of all warning cases) and trademarks.
- The evidence log may be worth less than you think. A dated log shows someone checked. It does not prove a claim is authorised or backed up. No source found says courts or warning senders treat a log as a defence. This is untested.
- Crowded, lawyer-backed competition. Law firms already sell scanners and guides to the same shop owners, and they have trust you do not yet have.

### Pain points

- Warning letters (Abmahnungen) are costly. In the Händlerbund survey of 335 online sellers, 9% were warned in the past year. Of those, 41% paid €1,001–2,000 and 19% paid over €3,000.
- Health claims are the second-biggest warning reason in competition law at 15%, after the base-price rule at 23%. They are most common for food, supplements and cosmetics.
- Staff cannot tell which words are risky. One law firm says even "gut verträglich" (well tolerated) on a food can trigger health-claim rules.
- Sellers want automatic price-history proof. A 2022 Shopify forum thread asks for a backend price history because of warning risk, and says it is unclear how to show proof.
- Green-claims rules confuse small owners. A Reddit thread shows owners asking whether terms like "ethically sourced" count as green claims. Only the search snippet was readable.

### Demand signals

- The risk is not fading. 51% of sellers say the warning level is unchanged-high or rising. Own web shops are half of warned channels. eBay and Amazon together are about a third.
- A hard deadline may be near. One vendor (EcoClaim) says the EU's ECGT bans apply from 27 September 2026, even though the Green Claims Directive was withdrawn in June 2025. This is a vendor with a sales interest. Check the official text.
- German sellers already pay for warning protection. IT-Recht Kanzlei sells a scanner called LegalScan. A comparison page says a Shopify legal-text app starts at €9.90 net a month. That is a legal-text product, not a claims reviewer.
- Shopify sellers buy narrow compliance apps, such as one that shows the lowest 30-day price. No install or review numbers were found.
- Several AI products target claims review: EcoClaim, Caidera and GREP. Their existence is a signal, not proof that customers pay.

### Search interest

**Summary:** Unknown. No search-volume or Google Trends data was found. News, law-firm pages and a social reel cluster around the 27 Sep 2026 start of the ECGT rules. That hints at rising interest, but it measures publishers, not buyers. Check Keyword Planner or Trends for 'Abmahnung Health Claims' and 'klimaneutral Werbung Abmahnung' before relying on it.

#### Forces

- **Rivalry** Note: Memo found 13 players. Caidera is funded and close on features. EcoClaim, a Shopify app and Glacier already cover green claims, some for free. The price-display niche looked empty, but the search was not exhaustive.; Score: 4
- **New Entrants** Note: Barriers look low. Several small green-claims scanners appeared around the Sept 2026 deadline. The EU health-claims register is public. Any rival could add German health claims. A trusted dated log may be a small moat.; Score: 3
- **Suppliers** Note: Assumption: you would rely on public legal texts and general AI models, which many vendors offer. No single supplier has clear power. The memo did not research this force.; Score: 7
- **Buyers** Note: Small brands are price-sensitive and have free scanners to compare. Many have no compliance budget. Warning-letter risk in Germany may create real urgency. No price or willingness-to-pay data was found.; Score: 4
- **Substitutes** Note: Lawyers, trade associations and free checkers offer alternatives. The sources include Händlerbund guides and a free Health-Claims-Checker. General AI chat tools and manual review also compete. The memo did not test how well these work.; Score: 5
**Headline:** Below the median. Demand from new EU rules is real, but rivals are many, free tools exist, and buyers can switch easily. Scores are my judgement, not measured data. Higher means more attractive for you.

**Verdict:** Crowded at the green-claims end, thinner for German health claims plus price display. Evidence is thin, so treat this as a draft. The memo found no published prices, almost no user counts and almost no funding data. One funded German startup, Caidera, already covers health claims and EmpCo with an audit trail. Free green-claims scanners already exist. The memo says it found 13 competitors, but the text I received cuts off during competitor 8. So this section lists 8 entries, and the last one is incomplete. The least-covered area is a self-serve tool for small German DTC brands. It would check health claims, price display and disclosures, and keep a dated log. The memo found no dedicated price-display tool, but says its search was not exhaustive. I would not call this launch-ready until you confirm that gap and test whether small brands will pay.

- **Caidera** Domain: caidera.ai; Status: Active; Threat: HIGH; Channel: Inferred, not published: direct sales, LinkedIn, German health-tech networks.; Funding: €300,000 pre-seed (Startbase; Caidera's own post); Pricing: Not published on the page read. Looks sales-led and demo-based.; Est users: Not found. Two named customers only.; Description: Berlin AI marketing and compliance platform. Its food and supplements page lists health claims checked against authorised EU wording, disease-claim checks, EmpCo environmental claims and one audit trail. Mostly sells to pharma, medtech and biotech. DigitalHub names Bauerfeind and Cepheid as customers. No customer count is published.; How to beat: Go self-serve and low-touch. Show a result in about 10 minutes from a Shopify URL, with no demo call. Its copy targets regulatory and legal teams, and your buyers have neither. This is inference from page copy.; Biggest threat: true
- **EcoClaim (EU)** Domain: ecoclaim.eu; Status: Active; Threat: HIGH; Channel: Inferred: free scanner as lead magnet, plus SEO on banned green terms.; Funding: Not found; Pricing: Free tier. 3 free scans and 15 check credits on signup. Paid plans not visible.; Est users: Not found; Description: Green-claims scanner for EU online shops. Page shows a free scan with no account, a Site Sweep of up to 1,000 pages, red/amber/green ratings, AI rewrites, a penalty estimate, a certificate vault and a dated PDF report. The page also mentions 'other checks for EU online shops', but the memo's fetch cut off before listing them. Check what they are.; How to beat: It covers one rule set, green claims. The memo saw no ad-platform draft checks and nothing on health claims. Bundle the four rule sets with a pre-publish flow. Make your dated log credible to a court or opponent, which a scanner PDF may not be.; Strongest edge: true
- **EU Green Claims & EmpCo Check (Shopify app)** Domain: apps.shopify.com/eu-green-claims-greenwashing; Status: Active; Threat: MEDIUM; Channel: Shopify App Store search.; Funding: Not found; Pricing: Free plan and 7-day trial. The snippet shows a $499/year option. Lowest monthly price not visible. Billed in USD.; Est users: Not found; Description: Green-claims check inside the Shopify App Store. This is the same distribution channel you plan to use.; How to beat: It is green-only. Add health and price checks and German-language output. Win on app-store reviews, which the memo did not read.
- **Glacier EmpCo Checker** Domain: glacier.eco; Status: Active; Threat: MEDIUM; Channel: Not found. Likely web search and sustainability networks (assumption).; Funding: Not found; Pricing: Not found; Est users: Not found; Description: AI check of documents, website, campaigns and packaging against Directive 2024/825. Aimed at sustainability and compliance staff, not marketing leads.; How to beat: Sell into the marketing lead's daily workflow, not a sustainability team.
- **Flagship Impact Greenwashing Check** Domain: flagshipimpact.com; Status: Active; Threat: LOW; Channel: Likely consultancy lead generation (memo's inference).; Funding: Not found; Pricing: Not found; Est users: Not found; Description: Copy or full-site greenwashing check in the context of European rules. Likely a lead-gen tool for a consultancy.; How to beat: It is a one-off check with no evidence log and no integrations.
- **Truli** Domain: trytruli.com; Status: Active; Threat: LOW; Channel: Inferred: content marketing, LinkedIn, demo bookings.; Funding: Backed by Speedrun per a LinkedIn post. Amount not found.; Pricing: Not found. Snippet says 'book a demo'.; Est users: Not found; Description: AI claims review for supplement and CPG brands. Covers labels, copy, ads and TikTok/Instagram monitoring. Built on FDA and FTC rules. The source is its own comparison post, which is vendor marketing. Low threat today. It would need to rebuild for EU health-claim law and German language.; How to beat: Stay EU-native. Its post lists only US regulators.
- **FoodChain ID Supplements Compliance** Domain: foodchainid.com; Status: Active; Threat: LOW; Channel: Inferred: enterprise sales and demos.; Funding: Not found; Pricing: Demo-only. A FoodReady roundup quotes $40k–$120k a year for mid-market FDA compliance software. That is a category figure, not FoodChain ID's price.; Est users: Not found; Description: EU supplement compliance software that checks ingredients, dosages, claims and warnings by country. Too heavy and expensive for a small brand, per the memo.; How to beat: Win on price and onboarding. Be usable by a marketer with no regulatory team.
- **Acrolinx (with Writer and Adobe GenStudio Brand Compliance)** Domain: acrolinx.com; Status: Active; Threat: LOW; Channel: Inferred: enterprise sales.; Funding: Not found; Pricing: Not read. The memo says enterprise-priced 'as far as I know', not verified.; Est users: Not found; Description: Content governance and brand-rule checks for large marketing teams. Writer and Adobe GenStudio are in the same group. The memo text cuts off at this entry, so the threat rating is my assumption. These tools are generic brand-rule tools, not EU health-claim specialists, as far as the memo shows.; How to beat: Be specific. Ship EU and German rules out of the box, for small brands that cannot configure an enterprise tool.
**Your position:** Your idea, as I read it from the memo, is ClaimCheck EU. It is a self-serve tool for German DTC and Shopify brands. It checks copy against health claims, price display and disclosures in one flow, and keeps a dated log. Your realistic edge is the bundle, low-touch onboarding, German-language output and a log that holds up in a dispute. It is not any single feature. Caidera covers health claims and EmpCo. EcoClaim and the Shopify app already cover green claims, some of it free. You would be selling to buyers who have no lawyer or regulatory team, and they may not want to pay. Key unknowns: willingness to pay, whether a dated log counts as evidence in a German warning-letter (Abmahnung) dispute, and what EcoClaim's "other checks" include. Verify those first.

## Moat

**Rating:** PARTIALLY CLONEABLE

**Headline:** A developer can copy the scanner in weeks. The legal trust, the German claim rules and the agency workflow are the parts you would still have to earn, and you have none of them yet.

### Big player

**Name:** Trusted Shops

**Their move:** Add an AI claim-scan to their existing legal package and bundle it into the subscription shops already pay for, with lawyer sign-off behind it. This is the memo author's inference, not an announced plan. Their pricing was not obtained because the pricing page returned no content. A close second is IT-Recht Kanzlei. Its LegalScan Pro already scans Shopify shops for more than 350 competition-law risks, from EUR 6.90 a month according to its page. It is a law firm and could add health and green-claim rules at little extra cost.

**What holds:** They sell to shops, not to agencies that serve many brands. Their scans appear to be mostly after-the-fact monitoring, so a draft-stage check is a different workflow (not verified whether they offer one). They are generalists, so a deeper supplements and cosmetics claim library is possible. This holds only if you move first and build real depth. It is not a safe position today.

**Explanation:** The core product is a crawler, an LLM prompt for each rule set and a PDF log. Each part is easy to build. Cheap tools already cover the green-claims part. A Shopify app (Appsentials) scans for green claims in nine languages, rates each finding, suggests new wording and exports an audit PDF. It has a free plan. Glacier offers an EmpCo Checker. Free scanners such as ecoclaim.eu claim to check in 60 seconds with no signup. So a dated evidence log is not a moat on its own. What I did not find is one flow that covers health claims, price display, disclosures and green claims, with draft-stage ad checks and a German-law focus. That search was thin (five web searches). Read it as "not found", not "does not exist". The harder parts are a named German lawyer, a maintained German case library, agency workflow lock-in and a track record that courts or insurers accept. You have none of these today.

### Clone stories

- **Appsentials, EU Green Claims & EmpCo Check (Shopify app)** Note: Same scan, same audit PDF and a 'not legal advice' disclaimer. It is free to start, so your planned EUR 149 (your plan's price, not a sourced one) has to buy much more than green-claims scanning. It had one review when checked, so traction is unproven.; Rating: EASILY CLONEABLE
- **IT-Recht Kanzlei, LegalScan Pro** Note: The German incumbent for shop-scan Abmahnschutz. It pairs a law firm with automated scanning, from EUR 6.90 a month. It shows the market exists and that you will be price-compared. The scan is copyable, but the law-firm backing is not.; Rating: PARTIALLY CLONEABLE
- **Certo** Note: Paris and San Francisco startup. It raised a USD 4M seed round led by Daphni for AI compliance in beauty and consumer goods, including claims verification and traceable findings with regulatory source references. It targets larger regulatory teams. Investors fund this space, and a funded player is moving into your cosmetics niche at the top of the market.; Rating: PARTIALLY CLONEABLE

### Easy to clone

- The scan-and-flag engine. Appsentials and others already do this for green claims.
- The rule text. The EU health-claims register is a free, searchable database, and EmpCo guidance from law firms and chambers is free and plentiful.
- The PDF evidence export. It is a dated report, and Appsentials already offers one.
- Suggested rewordings. Any LLM can produce them.

### Hard to clone

- Legal credibility. A flag only matters if the user trusts it in a dispute. You have no named German lawyer yet. Competitors such as IT-Recht Kanzlei and Trusted Shops have lawyers behind their offers.
- German-specific rule depth. This covers how German courts treat was/now prices, 'klimaneutral' and supplement claims. It needs a curated, maintained case library. A wrong all-clear is worse than no check.
- Agency workflow lock-in. Multi-client approval, sign-off history and client handover are sticky, but only once agencies use them daily.
- A track record. An evidence log has value only if a court, insurer or association accepts it. No evidence was found that any log is accepted this way.

### Time to clone

**Value:** About 2–4 weeks for a working copy of the core

**Reason:** This is the memo author's assumption, not a sourced figure. No build benchmark was found. It covers a read-only Shopify scan, LLM checks against four rule sets, a findings report and a timestamped log. It leaves out ad-platform draft integrations (not researched) and accuracy work with lawyer sign-off, which the memo puts at months.

### Defensibility moves

- **Put a named German lawyer in the product** Detail: Use a specialist in UWG and food or cosmetics advertising law. They review the rule logic and sign off versions. Publish who they are. This closes your biggest gap, which competitors already have covered.
- **Go deep on supplements and cosmetics, not all DTC** Detail: Build a claims library that maps each phrase to the EU health-claims register entry, the permitted wording and a safe German rewrite. A generic tool will not keep this current.
- **Build a German case library from real Abmahnungen** Detail: Ask early customers to share anonymised warning letters, and add court decisions. Re-test the rules against them every month. This data does not come from the public web in a clean form.
- **Win agencies first with an approval workflow** Detail: Offer client folders, reviewer and client sign-off, and a tamper-evident history. Define the agency tiers now, since they are blank in your plan. A clone of the scanner does not copy the workflows agencies build around you.
- **Test whether the log has real value** Detail: Ask an insurer, a law firm or a trade association whether they would accept or reward it. If yes, that is your moat. If no, drop the evidence claim from your pitch.

## Business Model

**Model:** Per-brand monthly SaaS subscription (3 tiers), plus one-off live-site audits and a per-client agency tier

### Prices

- **Starter** Per: month, 1 Shopify store; Note: Assumption. Limited scans a month. Health, price and disclosure checks, basic dated log. Close to the verified price anchors.; Price: €49
- **Brand** Per: month, 1 brand, up to 3 users; Note: Founder's figure. All four rule sets, ad-platform draft checks, full evidence log and German-language output. Needs proof it beats cheaper tools.; Price: €149
- **Agency** Per: month, up to 5 client brands; Note: Assumption of about €80 per client. Not tested. The research assumed a contract of about €4,000 a year; this is €4,788 a year.; Price: €399
- **Live-site audit** Per: one-off, up to 50 pages; Note: Assumption. A free EcoClaim scan is the comparison, so the paid report must add health and price checks and be reviewed by a person.; Price: €490
**Verdict:** The business model is a plain monthly subscription per brand, plus one-off site audits and a per-client agency tier. It is easy to understand. But the €149 a month entry price has no support in the evidence. The only verified small-brand prices are low. A Shopify legal-text app starts at €9.90 net a month. A Shopify green-claims app shows a USD 499 a year option. EcoClaim offers free scans. The Händlerbund survey (335 sellers) says 9% were warned in a year, and 41% of those paid €1,001–2,000. Using a €1,500 midpoint (my assumption), the average yearly loss from a warning is about €135. A €149 plan costs about €1,788 a year. So "avoid a fine" cannot carry the price by itself. The case has to rest on time saved and a log that helps in a dispute. Nobody has tested the log yet.

I score the model below the median. Unfair Advantage is the weakest block. Rivals can copy the rule sets. Caidera is funded, and the green-claims tools already exist. Every unit-economics number below is an assumption, not data. The ratio of about 3.0 depends on a 4% monthly churn guess. Churn could be much worse if brands clean up their pages once and cancel. Also, no German lawyer is involved yet, and I found no source that says a dated log counts in a warning-letter dispute. I recommend a €49 entry tier and €149 as the full tier. I recommend testing both before building agency tiers. Your concrete next step is to interview 15 German supplement and cosmetics marketing leads this month. Show each of them a price card with €49, €149 and a €490 audit. Ask what they pay lawyers today and whether they were ever warned. Do not build agency tiers until at least 5 of the 15 say they would pay €49.

**Model note:** The founder gave only "from €149 a month" and one-off audits. Starter, Agency and audit prices below are my assumptions for testing. They are not market data. Annual billing at a discount could reduce churn, but this is untested.

### Lean canvas

**Score:** 49

#### Blocks

- **Problem** Note: Documented. Health claims are 15% of competition-law warnings. Warnings often cost €1,000–3,000+ (Händlerbund survey, 335 sellers). Staff cannot tell which words are risky. But the top causes (base price 23%, images 26% of cases) sit partly outside your four rule sets.; Score: 7
- **Customer Segments** Note: Clear first target: small German DTC supplement and cosmetics brands. Agencies are a second group but are not sized. No count of German shops was found. The 30,000 EU brand figure is an unsourced assumption.; Score: 6
- **Unique Value Proposition** Note: One pre-publish flow across health, green, price and disclosure rules, plus a dated log. The bundle is the edge, not any single check. Free green-claims scanners exist. Whether the log helps in a dispute is untested.; Score: 5
- **Solution** Note: Shopify scan, ad-draft checks and live-site audits are sensible. But legal accuracy is unproven, and there is no lawyer partner. A wrong 'all clear' is a real risk. Whether this counts as legal advice in Germany was not researched.; Score: 5
- **Channels** Note: Shopify App Store is where a rival green-claims app already sits. Other ideas (SEO on banned terms, agencies, trade-association content) are assumptions. No acquisition cost data was found.; Score: 4
- **Revenue Streams** Note: Subscription plus audits is standard. But verified small-brand prices are €0–€42 a month, and €149 is about 6x the median. Agency tiers and audit prices are not defined by the founder. Mine are assumptions.; Score: 4
- **Cost Structure** Note: Assumption: AI inference, hosting and ad-platform API upkeep are modest. Legal review of rule sets and a German lawyer's time are a real cost and are not included in the 80% margin guess. Keeping rules current is ongoing work.; Score: 5
- **Key Metrics** Note: Sensible ones: scans per brand per week, paid conversion from free scan, 90-day churn, claims flagged and fixed, accuracy error rate on a lawyer-checked sample. None are measured yet.; Score: 5
- **Unfair Advantage** Note: None confirmed. Rules are public, and AI models are widely available. Caidera is funded (€300,000 pre-seed) and covers health claims and EmpCo. A trusted lawyer partner and a log that holds up in disputes could become a moat, but neither exists today.; Score: 3
**Headline:** Unfair Advantage is the weakest block (3/10). Rivals can copy the rule sets, and the €149 price has no market support yet.

### Unit economics

**Cac:** About €600 (assumption)

**Ltv:** About €1,780 (gross-margin basis)

**Ratio:** About 3.0 : 1 (calculated, all inputs assumed)

**Payback:** About 8.4 months (calculated). Assumes blended €89 a month, 4% monthly churn (25-month life).

**Gross margin:** 80% (assumption; excludes lawyer review costs)

**Why this price:** The risk argument is weaker than it looks. The Händlerbund survey says 9% of sellers were warned in a year. Of those, 41% paid €1,001–2,000. At a €1,500 midpoint (my assumption), average expected loss is about €135 a year, versus €1,788 a year for a €149 plan. That survey covers all online sellers, not only supplements. Supplement brands may face higher risk, but I found no number for that. Cheap anchors also exist: €9.90 net a month for a legal-text app, free EcoClaim scans, and about USD 42 a month for the Shopify green-claims app on its annual plan. So I suggest a €49 entry to get first buyers, and €149 for the full flow with ad checks and the log. The real value for the buyer is time saved against lawyer review (no per-asset lawyer price was found) and proof of a pre-publish check. Test both prices in interviews before you commit.

### Revenue streams

- **Brand subscriptions (Starter and Brand tiers)** Note: Recurring revenue from small German DTC brands. Blended price assumed at about €89 a month (60% on €49, 40% on €149). Assumption, untested.; Rank: PRIMARY
- **Agency subscriptions** Note: Per-client tier at about €399 for 5 brands. No data on agency demand or willingness to pay.; Rank: SECONDARY
- **One-off live-site audits** Note: About €490 per site. Useful as a lead-in to a subscription. Competes with free scans. Needs a lawyer to review for trust.; Rank: SECONDARY

### Pricing position

**Read:** You would sit well above everything visible. That is only safe if buyers see you as a different category from free scanners. Today I cannot show that they do. EcoClaim scans for free. The Shopify app costs roughly USD 42 a month on its annual plan. A €149 plan would need proof of lower legal cost or a log that holds up in a dispute. Neither is proven. A €49 entry is still above the anchors but close enough to test. €149 can stay as the full tier with ad-platform checks and the log. The picture is thin: only two verified prices, and most rivals hide theirs. Agencies, the likely higher-paying group, have no price data at all.

**Entry range:** Free to about USD 42 a month among visible prices. €9.90 for the adjacent legal-text app. Enterprise tools do not publish prices.

**Median entry:** About €25.74 a month (calculated). It is the median of only two verified numbers: €9.90 and about 41.58 (USD, unconverted). One of them is an adjacent product. Treat it as a rough anchor, not a market price.

**You vs median:** Recommended €49 entry is about 90% above the €25.74 median (calculated). The founder's €149 would be about 479% above (calculated, about 5.8x).

**Dominant model:** Free or low-cost self-serve for small brands (free scans, free plans, cheap app subscriptions). Demo-led, quote-only pricing for the higher-end tools. No competitor was found that publishes a €100+ monthly plan.

#### Competitor prices

- **Shopify legal-text app (adjacent, not a claims reviewer)** Label: From €9.90 net a month (milestudio comparison). Price anchor for German Shopify compliance spend.; Monthly: 9.9; Verified: true
- **EU Green Claims & EmpCo Check (Shopify app)** Label: USD 499 a year option shown in snippet, divided by 12 = about USD 41.6 a month. Not converted to EUR. Free plan and 7-day trial also exist. Lowest monthly price not visible.; Monthly: 41.58; Verified: true
- **EcoClaim (EU)** Label: Free tier (3 free scans, 15 credits). Paid plans not visible.
- **Caidera** Label: Not published. Looks demo-led.
- **Glacier EmpCo Checker** Label: Not found.
- **Flagship Impact Greenwashing Check** Label: Not found. Likely free lead-gen.
- **Truli** Label: Not found. 'Book a demo'.
- **FoodChain ID Supplements Compliance** Label: Demo-only. The $40k–$120k a year figure is a category quote for FDA software, not their price.
- **Acrolinx** Label: Not read. Believed enterprise-priced, not verified.
**Recommended monthly:** 49

**Optimistic prices:** Drop the Starter tier and make Brand €149 the entry. Agency €499 a month for 5 clients. Audit €790 one-off. This only works if interviews show buyers compare you with lawyer review costs rather than €9.90 apps or free scans, and if a German lawyer signs off the rule sets. I have no evidence for this yet.

## Go-to-Market

**Verdict:** The need is real, but the willingness to pay is unproven. Health-claim warnings are 15% of competition-law warnings, and 41% of warned sellers paid EUR 1,001–2,000 (Händlerbund survey of 335 sellers, as summarised in the research). Only 9% of sellers were warned in a year. The biggest cause, base price at 23%, is outside your four rule sets. The cheap alternatives are a legal-text app from EUR 9.90 net a month and free green-claims scans. Against those, EUR 149 a month needs a clear reason. I found no customer saying they would pay for this product. The market sizing rests on an unsourced assumption of 30,000 brands, which gives EUR 53.6M a year. The German greenwashing ban date of 27 September 2026 comes from source titles and a vendor, so check it in the law.

The best first buyer is a small German supplement brand with no lawyer. Health claims are its top risk, and Caidera and EcoClaim cover that case least. Cosmetics is second. Agencies may be a better buyer, but there is no evidence either way, and their tiers are undefined. Your biggest gaps are legal credibility and the untested value of the evidence log. I found no source saying a dated log helps in an Abmahnung dispute. This is not launch-ready. Treat it as an early idea that needs a German lawyer and paying proof. Your concrete next step is to run your draft tool on 20 real German supplement product pages, have a German food-law lawyer check the flags, send 10 brands a free one-page report, and ask each whether they would pay EUR 149 a month.

### Channels

- **Free one-page audit via direct outreach (email, LinkedIn)** Rank: PRIMARY; Reach: DIRECT REACH; Est cac: Assumption: EUR 150–500 per paying customer, mostly your time. Unproven.; Evidence: The research found warned sellers, supplement-claim warning topics and named pain, but no outreach test. Caidera sells through direct sales (inferred, not published). Händlerbund data shows health claims are 15% of warnings, so the hook is concrete.
- **Free German-language claim scanner plus SEO on warning-letter topics** Rank: SECONDARY; Reach: PARTIAL REACH; Est cac: Assumption: EUR 80–250 per paying customer after 6–12 months of content. Slow and unproven.; Evidence: EcoClaim uses a free scan with no account as a lead magnet (inferred). Many German law firms publish health-claims and 30-day price guides, so search is crowded. Green claims are well covered; health claims and price display are less so.
- **Shopify App Store listing** Rank: SECONDARY; Reach: PARTIAL REACH; Est cac: Assumption: EUR 40–150 per paying customer once listed. Low-confidence.; Evidence: An EU green-claims app already sells there, with a free plan and a 7-day trial. Shopify sellers also buy narrow compliance apps, such as a lowest-30-day-price app. No install or review numbers were found. You must build the integration first.
- **Partnerships with German lawyers and trade bodies (referrals, co-branded checks)** Rank: SECONDARY; Reach: PARTIAL REACH; Est cac: Assumption: EUR 100–300 per paying customer, with a long lead time. Unproven.; Evidence: Law firms already sell scanners and guides to these shop owners. IT-Recht Kanzlei sells LegalScan, and Händlerbund publishes guides. They have the trust you lack, but they may see you as a competitor. A lawyer partner also fixes your credibility gap.
- **Agency partnerships** Rank: LATER; Reach: WEAK REACH; Est cac: Assumption: EUR 500–1,500 per agency, with slower sales. Unproven.; Evidence: There is no evidence either way on agency demand, no agency tiers and no agency sizing. Wait until at least 10 brands pay, then test a per-client tier.

### Segments

- **German supplement DTC brands (Shopify)** Fit: High fit; Who: Owner, marketing lead or e-commerce lead at a small or mid-size German supplement webshop. The team is 2–15 people with no in-house lawyer. Assumption: most run on Shopify.; Budget: Assumption: EUR 50–200 a month for compliance tools. The anchor is EUR 9.90 net a month for legal-text apps. Warning costs of EUR 1,001–3,000+ per letter justify more, but only if the buyer believes the tool lowers that risk.; How they buy: Self-serve if the price is low, after a free scan or a trial. They compare with free tools and ask a lawyer if the amount is large. Assumption: the owner decides alone, and the sale takes days to weeks.; Share of tam: About half of the EUR 53.6M brand TAM (assumption; the split between supplements and cosmetics was not researched); How they think: 'I do not know which words are risky, and a letter costs thousands.' They also think 'it has not happened to me yet' (91% were not warned). They want a simple red/amber/green answer and wording they can use at once.
  - Where:
  - Händlerbund guides and newsletter (health-claims guide in the research)
  - IT-Recht Kanzlei posts and newsletter (LegalScan, 'verträglich' article)
  - Shopify Community German forum (the 2022 price-history thread)
  - r/growmybusiness (green-claims thread, snippet only)
  - LinkedIn, German DTC and e-commerce groups (assumption, not verified)
  - Events: not researched. Check German e-commerce and Shopify meetups yourself.
  - Triggers:
  - Receiving or hearing of an Abmahnung, from a competitor or the Wettbewerbszentrale
  - Launching a new product page or ad campaign with new claims
  - The EmpCo greenwashing ban (source titles say 27 September 2026; verify)
  - Objections:
  - EUR 149 a month is high against EUR 9.90 apps and free scanners.
  - Will the AI be correct? A wrong 'all clear' could cause harm, and the legal-advice question is unresolved.
  - The log may not help in a dispute. No source says it does.
  - Pain points:
  - Staff cannot tell which words are health claims. A word like 'gut verträglich' can trigger the rules (IT-Recht Kanzlei).
  - Health claims are 15% of warnings and the most common for food, supplements and cosmetics.
  - They cannot show later that they checked the copy before publishing.
- **German cosmetics DTC brands (Shopify)** Fit: Medium fit; Who: Marketing or e-commerce lead at a small or mid-size German skincare or beauty webshop. No in-house legal reviewer. Often mixes green claims ('natural', 'sustainable'), product-effect claims and discount prices.; Budget: Assumption: same range as supplements, EUR 50–200 a month. The beauty market is large (EUR 34.6B for beauty and household care in 2024 per IKW, snippet only). That is sales, not software spend.; How they buy: Self-serve with a free scan first. They may also ask a cosmetics regulatory consultant, since cosmetic claims fall under a different rule set (EC Reg. 1223/2009, cosmetics regulation). Your four rule sets only partly cover this.; Share of tam: About half of the EUR 53.6M brand TAM (assumption; same caveat as above); How they think: 'Is 'sustainable' or 'natural' safe to say?' and 'do I need a test report for this claim?' They often worry more about substantiation than wording.
  - Where:
  - Händlerbund and IT-Recht Kanzlei guides and newsletters
  - IHK Munich green-claims checklist readers (IHK page in the research)
  - Shopify Community and Shopify App Store search
  - LinkedIn and beauty or DTC groups (assumption, not verified)
  - Events: not researched
  - Triggers:
  - The EmpCo greenwashing ban date (verify 27 September 2026)
  - A seasonal sale or a rebrand with new 'clean' or 'eco' wording
  - A competitor being warned
  - Objections:
  - Cosmetics claim rules need product evidence, and a copy checker cannot see that.
  - Free green-claims scanners (EcoClaim, Shopify app) already cover part of it.
  - The legal accuracy of a solo-built tool is unproven.
  - Pain points:
  - Green-claims rules confuse owners, who ask whether terms like 'ethically sourced' count (Reddit snippet).
  - 'Was/now' prices need the lowest 30-day price, and sellers want automatic proof (Shopify Community thread).
  - They need evidence they checked claims before publishing.
- **Marketing agencies serving DTC brands** Fit: Medium fit; Who: Small German agencies and freelancers writing copy and ads for 5–30 DTC clients. The owner or head of content buys.; Budget: Assumption from the research: about EUR 4,000 a year per agency. That is unproven. Agency tiers are not defined.; How they buy: The owner decides, often after a client is warned. Assumption: they want per-client pricing and white-label reports. They test on one client first.; Share of tam: Not in the EUR 53.6M (that figure excludes agencies). Not sized.; How they think: 'If my copy gets a client warned, I lose the client or get blamed.' They want speed and a record that protects them from blame.
  - Where:
  - LinkedIn
  - Shopify Partner and agency directories (assumption, not verified)
  - German online-marketing events (not researched)
  - Agency owner communities (not researched)
  - Triggers:
  - A client receiving an Abmahnung over agency-written copy
  - A client asking for a compliance step in the contract
  - Winning several DTC clients in supplements or cosmetics
  - Objections:
  - The agency may not want liability for a tool's advice.
  - Clients may refuse to pay extra for a tool.
  - Agencies already use general AI tools and may judge them good enough.
  - Pain points:
  - They write copy for many brands and cannot get a lawyer to review every asset.
  - Clients ask them to prove claims were checked.
  - Staff turnover means rule knowledge is uneven.
**Who pays:** The marketing or e-commerce lead (often the founder or owner) at a small German Shopify supplement or cosmetics brand pays from the marketing or operations budget. Agencies are a second payer. They would pay per client brand, but there is no evidence for this yet.

### Master channel

**Why:** It matches the problem and your stage. The research found no proof of willingness to pay, and direct contact gives you that proof fastest. A concrete report of flagged claims is hard to ignore for a brand with no lawyer. It also avoids a head-on fight with EcoClaim's free scanner and the Shopify green-claims app. The cost is your time, and it needs a German lawyer to review the output. Assumption: this works best for the first 10–30 customers and does not scale.

**Name:** Free one-page claim audit, sent by direct outreach to German supplement brands

#### Steps

- Build a list of 100 German Shopify supplement brands (the true count is unknown, so find it). Pick one product page each and run your draft tool on it. Have a German food-law lawyer review the flags before you send anything.
- Send the decision-maker a short German email and a one-page report with 3 flagged claims and suggested rewording. State plainly that it is not legal advice. Offer a 15-minute walk-through. Aim for 10 calls.
- On each call, ask what they spend on legal review, whether they were warned, and whether they would pay EUR 149 a month or a cheaper tier. Offer a paid live-site audit as the first purchase. Record every answer.
**What people pay:** Nobody pays for this exact product today, as far as the research shows. The nearest prices are: a Shopify legal-text app from EUR 9.90 net a month (milestudio comparison); a Shopify green-claims app with a free plan, a 7-day trial and a USD 499 a year option; EcoClaim with a free tier; Caidera with no published price. The cost of a warning is the real anchor. 41% of warned sellers paid EUR 1,001–2,000, and 19% paid over EUR 3,000. Your EUR 149 a month is EUR 1,788 a year. That is about one warning letter. Agency pricing is an assumption of EUR 4,000 a year per agency, from the market research.

## Playbook

### Anti bias

- Ask only about the past. Never ask 'would you use or pay for this'. Praise and 'sounds good' count as zero evidence.
- Do not pitch or demo in the first 20 minutes. If you explain the product early, people will be polite to you instead of being honest.
- Ask for proof of every claim. 'We worry about warning letters' is weak. 'We paid a lawyer EUR X in March' is strong. Write down who, when and how much.
- Interview people who are not your friends or your network, and include people who said no to a call. Note how many you contacted and how many replied. That ratio is data too. The targets of 15 and 8 interviews are planning assumptions, not proven thresholds.
- Record your own notes before you see any summary, and have a second person score each call against the green and red signals. Count disconfirming calls as loudly as confirming ones. Also test your own bias: you may want the evidence log to matter, but no source shows courts treat it as a defence.

### Messaging

- **Marketing and e-commerce leads at small German DTC supplement and cosmetics brands** Cold email: Hi {first name},

I'm building a tool for small German supplement and cosmetics brands. It reads a product page or ad draft, flags risky health claims, green claims, price-cut wording and missing disclosures, and saves a dated record of each check.

I'm not selling anything yet. I'm learning how brands check claims today. In the Händlerbund 2026 warning-letter study, health claims were 15% of competition-law warnings. I'd like to know if that matches what you see.

Could I ask you five questions over 20 minutes? I'll share what I hear from other brands.

  - Ad headlines:
  - Check Claims Before You Publish
  - Health Claim Risks, Flagged Early
  - A Dated Log of Every Check
  - Copy to avoid:
  - '100% compliant' or 'warning-letter proof'. No tool can promise this, courts judge claims case by case, and no source shows a dated log works as a defence.
  - 'Your AI lawyer' or 'legal advice'. Whether this counts as legal advice in Germany is not researched. Say 'review aid' until a German lawyer confirms the wording.
  - 'Save thousands in fines' or any cost-saving figure of your own. The Händlerbund study shows warnings cost EUR 1,001 to 2,000 for 41% of warned sellers, but only 9% were warned in a year, and you have no data on your own users.
- **Marketing agencies that write copy and ads for German DTC supplement and cosmetics brands** Cold email: Hi {first name},

I'm building a pre-publish checker for supplement and cosmetics copy. It flags risky health claims, green claims, price-cut wording and missing disclosures, and keeps a dated record of each check, so an agency can show what was reviewed and when.

I'm not selling yet. I want to understand how agencies handle claims for several clients today, and where it costs you time.

  - Ad headlines:
  - Claim Checks for Client Copy
  - Review Ads Before Launch
  - Show What You Checked, and When
  - Copy to avoid:
  - 'Take the legal risk off your agency'. You do not know how contracts split liability, and a wrong all-clear could put the risk back on the agency.
  - 'Replace your lawyer review'. Lawyers have trust you do not have yet, and agencies may keep them. Position it as a first pass before the lawyer.
  - Any agency price or per-client saving. Agency tiers are undefined, and the EUR 4,000 a year contract is only an assumption from the research.

### Channel tactics

- **Direct LinkedIn outreach, used first for interviews, then for early-access sign-ups** Rank: 1 (best fit for a first-time founder. It is cheap, targeted and gives you evidence)
  - First steps:
  - Build a list of about 100 German supplement and cosmetics DTC leads and 40 agencies (planning assumption). Record name, role, shop URL and whether the shop runs on Shopify.
  - Send the DM first, and the email only if there is no reply. Aim for 15 brand and 8 agency interviews. Log reply rates by segment. If under a handful reply, change the message before widening the list.
  - After each interview, ask for one intro and offer to scan one of their pages by hand. Note which claims you flag and what they say. This tests the product before you build it.
- **Search content plus a free scan page in German** Rank: 2 (slower, but it builds a lead list that does not depend on your time)
  - First steps:
  - Write a few German pages on exact questions brands search, such as health claims wording, Streichpreis and 30-day price, and EmpCo green terms. Check each point with a German lawyer first, and cite the official texts. Do not use the vendor blogs as a legal source.
  - Build a simple page where a visitor pastes copy or a Shopify URL and gets a short flagged list, in exchange for an email. Free scanners exist, such as EcoClaim, so test whether yours adds health and price checks that they lack.
  - Track how many visitors run a scan and leave an email. Phone the first ones that do and ask the interview questions. Do not spend on ads until this works.
- **German lawyer and trade-network partnerships** Rank: 3 (fixes your credibility gap, but depends on someone else saying yes)
  - First steps:
  - Contact 10 German food-law or competition-law firms that publish on health claims or greenwashing. Ask one to review 50 real claims and your output wording, and to co-sign a short accuracy note.
  - Ask about liability and legal-advice limits before you sell anything. Get the wording of your disclaimer in writing.
  - Offer a joint webinar or checklist for their shop-owner audience once the accuracy test is done. Share the real error rate, even if it is poor.

### Interview guide

- **Marketing and e-commerce leads at small and mid-size German DTC supplement and cosmetics brands** Target interviews: 15
  - Where:
  - LinkedIn search: titles like Head of E-Commerce, Marketing Lead or Geschäftsführer at German supplement and cosmetics Shopify shops
  - Shopify Community forum and r/growmybusiness threads on claims and price rules. Reply with a question, not a pitch
  - Founder and e-commerce groups on LinkedIn, Xing or Slack for German DTC brands (assumption: such groups exist; confirm)
  - Warm intros through a German food-law or competition lawyer, once you have one on board
  - Questions:
  - Tell me about the last time you published a new product page or ad. Who read the copy before it went live, and what did they look at?
  - Think of the last time you were unsure whether a claim was allowed, for example a health, 'natural' or 'sustainable' wording. What did you do next?
  - Has your brand, or a competitor you know of, ever received a warning letter (Abmahnung) or a trade-body complaint? What happened, what did it cost, and what changed afterwards?
  - What have you paid for legal review, legal texts, scanners or compliance apps in the last 12 months? Who approved the spend, and how did you choose?
  - Tell me about the last time you used a free scanner, a general AI chat tool or a checklist to check copy. What did you do with the result, and do you still use it?
  - Think of the last time someone, such as a boss, a lawyer, a platform or an investor, asked you to show that a claim was checked. What did you pull up, and how long did it take?
  - Red signals:
  - They cannot recall one concrete past incident or action. They only say it sounds useful.
  - Their only answer is 'the lawyer or the agency handles it' and they have no budget or say in the decision.
  - They are happy with free scanners and have paid for nothing in the last 12 months.
  - Green signals:
  - They name a real past spend (lawyer, scanner, app) or a real warning or near-miss, with a cost or time lost.
  - They show you their current process, such as a spreadsheet, a lawyer email thread or a Notion page, without being asked twice.
  - They ask how to try it, or offer an intro to a colleague or another brand, before you pitch.
- **Marketing agencies that write copy and ads for German DTC supplement and cosmetics brands** Target interviews: 8
  - Where:
  - LinkedIn search: founders and heads of performance or content at German agencies listing supplements, beauty or DTC clients
  - Shopify Partner directory entries for German agencies (assumption: the directory lists them; confirm)
  - German e-commerce and performance-marketing meetups or Slack groups (assumption; confirm they exist)
  - Referrals from the brand interviews: ask each brand who writes their copy
  - Questions:
  - Tell me about the last time you wrote product copy or ads for a supplement or cosmetics client. Who checked the claims before it went live?
  - Think of the last time a client or their lawyer changed or rejected your copy for legal reasons. What was the change, and how much time did it cost you?
  - Has a client ever received a warning letter (Abmahnung) over copy you wrote or approved? What happened between you and the client, and what did your contract say?
  - Tell me about the last tool or service you bought to help with client work. Who paid for it, how was it billed, and how did you decide?
  - How many supplement or cosmetics clients do you handle today? Walk me through how you keep track of what each one may and may not say.
  - Think of the last time a client asked you for proof that copy was reviewed. What did you give them?
  - Red signals:
  - They say claims are always the client's responsibility and they never check, with no sign of that changing.
  - They handle one or two such clients and have no repeat need.
  - They rely on an in-house lawyer or a fixed law-firm retainer and show no pain with it.
  - Green signals:
  - They describe a past dispute, rework or lost time over claims, and can say roughly what it cost.
  - They already pass tool or legal costs through to clients, or have a line item for compliance review.
  - They manage several clients in these categories and keep their own claims lists or checklists.

## Validation

### Tests

- **Buyer interviews** Cost: EUR 0–300 (assumption: small gift cards or no incentive); Days: 10; Pass: At least 8 of 15 review claims by hand or via a lawyer today, and at least 3 agree to a paid pilot at EUR 149 or less.; Method: Interview 15 German supplement and cosmetics DTC marketing or e-commerce leads. Ask how they check claims now, what they paid in lawyer fees or warning costs, and what they would pay. Show EUR 149 against a cheaper tier. Find people via LinkedIn and Shopify communities.
- **Two-price fake-door page** Cost: About EUR 300–500 in ads (assumption); Days: 14; Pass: At least 9 sign-ups or booked calls from 300 qualified visits (3%), with price visible.; Method: Build a German one-page site with a scan mock-up and two visible prices. Send 300 targeted visits through search or LinkedIn ads. Measure email sign-ups and booked calls. Do not build the product behind it.
- **Lawyer accuracy test** Cost: EUR 500–1,500 for lawyer time (assumption, get a quote); Days: 14; Pass: At least 90% of clear breaches flagged, at most 2 missed, and false alarms under 30%.; Method: Collect 50 real claims from public supplement and cosmetics shops, plus 5 price displays. A German competition or food-law lawyer marks them first. Run a prototype prompt on the same items. Compare misses and false alarms.
- **Competitor run-through** Cost: EUR 0 (free tiers and trials; a paid tier may be needed); Days: 4; Pass: At least 5 of the 25 items are flagged by none of the rivals.; Method: Put the same 25 items through EcoClaim, Caidera's public pages or demo, GREP, LegalScan and the Shopify app. Record what each flags and misses. Check what EcoClaim's 'other checks' include.
- **Paid pilot offer** Cost: EUR 0 plus lawyer review time (assumption); Days: 21; Pass: At least 3 of 10 pay, and at least 2 ask for a second month or a re-scan.; Method: Offer 10 interviewees a manual service: you run their live pages through your prototype, a lawyer reviews the output, and you hand over a dated report for EUR 149. Charge before you build integrations.

### Today

**Summary:** The pain is documented. The way people solve it today is mostly manual and cheap. Brands read trade-body and law-firm guides, run free scanners, or pay a lawyer per asset. Händlerbund's survey of 335 online sellers says 9% were warned in the past year. Of those, 41% paid EUR 1,001–2,000 and 19% paid over EUR 3,000. Health claims are 15% of competition-law warnings, behind the base-price rule at 23%. On price display, one seller in a 2022 Shopify forum thread asked for an automatic price history because of warning risk. Green-claims checks are free at EcoClaim and in a Shopify app. A law firm sells a warning scanner, and one Shopify legal-text app starts at EUR 9.90 net a month. I found no customer reviews, no 'I would pay' posts and no proof that buyers pay for a claims reviewer. Evidence of pain is solid. Evidence of willingness to pay is thin.

- Url: https://www.ecoclaim.eu/; Note: A free scan with no account for green claims on EU shops. Gives red/amber/green ratings and a dated PDF report. This sets a free price anchor for the green-claims part.; Source: EcoClaim free scanner
**Go rule:** GO to a build of a thin first version only if all three hold after about 4 weeks: (1) at least 3 brands commit money or a signed paid pilot at EUR 149 or less; (2) the lawyer test shows at most 2 missed clear breaches in 50 claims; (3) a German lawyer confirms in writing that your disclaimer wording is workable. STOP or change the idea if fewer than 2 brands commit, or if the lawyer test misses more than 5 clear breaches, or if rivals already catch the issues you plan to sell. If only the log or only price display shows demand, narrow to that one wedge and retest. All thresholds are my own targets, not market data.

### Test first

**Bet:** Small German supplement and cosmetics brands will pay EUR 149 a month for a claims reviewer, when free green-claims scanners and EUR 9.90 a month legal-text apps already exist. Nothing found shows anyone has paid for this product yet.

**Risk:** HIGH RISK

**How to test:** Do two cheap things in parallel. First, hold 15 interviews with German supplement and cosmetics DTC marketing or e-commerce leads. Ask what they do today, what they spent on lawyers or warning letters, and whether they were warned. Second, put up a German one-page site with a Shopify-URL scan demo mock-up and two visible prices (EUR 149 and a cheaper tier). Drive about 300 targeted visits and count sign-ups with a card or a signed pilot letter. Do not build the product until at least 3 people commit money or a written pilot.

### Assumptions

- **Small DTC brands will pay EUR 149 a month (founder's figure) when free scanners and a EUR 9.90 a month legal-text app exist.** Risk: HIGH; Test: Run 15 interviews and a two-price fake-door page (EUR 149 vs a cheaper tier). Count paid pilots or deposits. Target: at least 3 of 15 interviewees agree to a paid pilot at EUR 149 or similar. The target is my assumption.
- **The AI can flag German health, green, price and disclosure risks accurately enough that a wrong 'all clear' is rare. This is not yet shown.** Risk: HIGH; Test: Have a German competition or food-law lawyer mark about 50 real claims first. Run the tool on them. Count missed clear breaches and false alarms. Publish the result.
- **A dated evidence log has value to buyers or in a warning-letter dispute. No source found says courts or warning senders treat a log as a defence.** Risk: HIGH; Test: Ask 3 German competition lawyers and 10 brand leads whether a dated pre-publish log would change how they respond to a warning letter or whether they would pay for it alone.
- **The tool is not treated as legal advice under German law, and liability wording can limit risk. Not researched.** Risk: HIGH; Test: Book one paid hour with a German lawyer on the Rechtsdienstleistungsgesetz question and on terms of use. Ask for written wording for the output disclaimer.
- **There is a gap: no rival covers health claims, price display and disclosures together for small German brands in a self-serve flow. The search was not exhaustive.** Risk: MEDIUM; Test: Run the same 20 real claims and 5 price displays through EcoClaim, Caidera, GREP, LegalScan and the Shopify app. Record what each misses. Also check what EcoClaim's 'other checks' include.
- **Marketing agencies are a second buyer and will pay per client brand. There is no evidence either way. The EUR 4,000 a year agency contract in the research is an assumption.** Risk: MEDIUM; Test: Interview 8 German agencies that write copy for supplement or cosmetics brands. Ask who carries warning risk and whether they would pass a per-client fee on.
- **Brands will connect Shopify and ad accounts to a new unknown vendor and will use the tool before publishing, not after a warning arrives.** Risk: MEDIUM; Test: In pilots, offer a paste-your-copy mode and a Shopify read-only scan. Track how many pilots connect within 7 days and how many run 3 or more checks.
- **The 27 September 2026 greenwashing deadline creates urgency. It rests partly on law-firm and vendor sources, and the EU dropped the separate Green Claims Directive.** Risk: LOW; Test: Read the German UWG text and the EUR-Lex text of Directive 2024/825 yourself. Confirm the date and which claims are banned with a lawyer before you quote it.

### Validate before building

- **Will small German supplement and cosmetics DTC brands pay for claim review at EUR 149 a month?** Proof: Out of 15 interviews, at least 3 agree to a paid pilot or deposit at EUR 149 or less. Out of 300 qualified landing-page visits, at least 9 (3%) leave an email or book a call with the price shown. Both targets are my assumptions.
- **Is the AI accurate enough on German law to be trusted?** Proof: On 50 lawyer-marked real claims, the tool flags at least 90% of the clear breaches and misses at most 2 clear breaches. False alarms stay under 30%. Thresholds are my assumption.
- **Does the dated evidence log matter to buyers or lawyers?** Proof: At least 2 of 3 German competition lawyers say a log changes how they would handle a warning letter. At least 5 of 15 brand leads rank the log among their top 3 reasons to buy.
- **Is there a real gap against EcoClaim, Caidera, GREP, LegalScan and the Shopify app?** Proof: On 25 test items (20 claims, 5 price displays), at least 5 issues (20%) are caught by none of the rivals. Or at least 8 of 15 interviewees say they would switch from what they use now.
- **Do agencies add a bigger, reachable buyer group?** Proof: Out of 8 agency interviews, at least 3 manage 5 or more supplement or cosmetics clients and at least 2 say they would pay a per-client fee. If none do, drop the agency tier from the plan.

## Financial

**Verdict:** This is an early, unproven idea. My plan assumes a lean solo founder with a part-time German lawyer. Burn is about EUR 9,400 a month (assumption). At EUR 149 a month you need about 64 paying brands to break even (calculated). In the middle case you reach 36 brands and EUR 5,364 MRR at month 12. Break-even comes around month 18, which is my extrapolation, not data. The most likely case, by my judgement, is the cautious one: 10 brands and EUR 1,490 MRR at month 12. Year-one cash need is roughly EUR 85,000 to EUR 100,000 in the middle case (calculated from my assumed costs).

The pain is documented. The Händlerbund survey says health claims are 15% of competition-law warnings, and many warnings cost EUR 1,000 to EUR 3,000 or more. But I found no evidence that anyone will pay EUR 149 a month for this. Free green-claims scanners exist. A legal-text Shopify app starts at EUR 9.90 net a month. Caidera, a funded German startup, already covers health claims and EmpCo with an audit trail. Nothing shows a dated log helps in a warning-letter dispute. A wrong "all clear" could also cause harm, and you have no lawyer yet. The 27 September 2026 green-claims date comes mostly from law-firm and vendor pages, so check it in the law. I would not call this launch-ready. Fundability is below the median. Your concrete next step is to interview 15 to 20 German supplement and cosmetics DTC marketing leads, ask what they pay for legal review today, and test whether at least 5 will pre-pay EUR 149 a month before you build more.

### Scenarios

- **CAUTIOUS** Driver: Small brands compare you with free scanners and EUR 9.90 legal apps, and only a few pay EUR 149. Assumes 149 EUR per brand and no agency tier.; M6 mrr: 447; M12 mrr: 1490; Likelihood: About 50% (my judgement); M6 customers: 3; M12 customers: 10
- **MIDDLE** Driver: A German lawyer validates accuracy, health-claim and price checks win Shopify brands, and a few agencies add clients. Break-even around month 18 by extrapolation.; M6 mrr: 1490; M12 mrr: 5364; Likelihood: About 35% (my judgement); M6 customers: 10; M12 customers: 36
- **OPTIMISTIC** Driver: Warning-letter fear and the EmpCo deadline create urgency, and agencies bring several brands each. Assumes 149 EUR per brand. Break-even around month 11.; M6 mrr: 3725; M12 mrr: 12665; Likelihood: About 15% (my judgement); M6 customers: 25; M12 customers: 85

### Raise plan

**Note:** The size range is my assumption. The only comparable I found is Caidera's EUR 300,000 pre-seed. Evidence of demand is thin and there is no named lawyer, so investors would likely want paying customers before they commit. At EUR 9,400 a month, EUR 150,000 lasts about 16 months (calculated). Public grants were not researched.

#### Proofs

- 15 to 20 interviews with German supplement and cosmetics DTC leads, with at least 5 saying they would pay EUR 149 a month.
- 10 paying brands, or signed pre-paid pilots, at EUR 149 a month or an agency price you have tested.
- A German competition or food-law lawyer reviews about 50 real claims, and you publish the error rate.
- A written view from a German lawyer on two points: whether a dated log helps in an Abmahnung dispute, and whether the tool counts as legal advice.
- A side-by-side test of the same copy in EcoClaim, Caidera, GREP and LegalScan that shows what you catch and they miss.
**Next round:** Bootstrap first. Then a small pre-seed of about EUR 150,000 to EUR 300,000 only if the proofs below are met.

### Fundability

**Note:** Below the median. The legal trigger is real, but willingness to pay is unproven. Free tools and a funded rival (Caidera) exist. There is no lawyer on the team yet. The log's value as evidence is untested. Investors would want paying customers and a lawyer-validated error rate first.

**Score:** 38

**Monthly burn:** ~EUR 9,400/mo (assumption)

**Burn benchmark:** I found no published burn benchmark for this niche, so this is my own assumption. The one funding fact I found is Caidera's EUR 300,000 pre-seed. At EUR 9,400 a month, that would cover about 32 months (calculated). That is a comparison, not proof of what Caidera spends.

### Burn breakdown

- **Founder living stipend (1 person, assumption)** Pct: 31.9; Amount: EUR 3,000/mo
- **Part-time contract developer (assumption)** Pct: 26.6; Amount: EUR 2,500/mo
- **German lawyer or regulatory expert retainer (assumption)** Pct: 21.3; Amount: EUR 2,000/mo
- **Sales and marketing: content, outreach, tools (assumption)** Pct: 8.5; Amount: EUR 800/mo
- **AI model usage, hosting, Shopify and ad-platform API costs (assumption)** Pct: 6.4; Amount: EUR 600/mo
- **Liability insurance, accountant, admin (assumption)** Pct: 5.3; Amount: EUR 500/mo

### Similar raises

- **Caidera** Note: Berlin AI marketing compliance platform. Covers health claims and EmpCo with an audit trail. The closest funded rival. Source: Startbase and Caidera's own post.; Amount: EUR 300,000 pre-seed (about USD 300K, Nov 2025)
- **Truli** Note: AI claims review for supplement and consumer brands, built on US rules. Backed by Speedrun per a LinkedIn post. Not an EU or German comparable.; Amount: Amount not found
- **EcoClaim (EU)** Note: Green-claims scanner with a free tier. No funding data found, so it cannot serve as a raise comparable.; Amount: Not found
**Break even month:** 18

**Customers to break even:** 64

## Action Plan

### Timeline

- **Week 1** Milestone: Interviews are booked, a lawyer search is under way, and you have a first view of the rivals. No code yet.
  - Tasks:
  - **Build a list of 60 German supplement and cosmetics DTC brands that run Shopify. Use public store searches and Instagram. Add the marketing contact for each. Note the brand count you find, because the 30,000 brand figure in the market sizing is an unsourced assumption.** Success: List of 60 brands with contacts. Send 40 interview requests. At least 8 interviews booked.
  - **Write a short interview script. Ask about past warnings, spend on legal review, current tools and who decides on budget. Do not pitch EUR 149 in the first half.** Success: Script done. First 3 interviews held, with notes written the same day.
  - **Contact 5 to 8 German food-law or competition-law lawyers. Ask about a paid review of 50 claims and an opinion on legal-advice risk.** Success: At least 3 replies and 1 call held. Fee quote written down.
  - **Test the same 10 claims on EcoClaim's free scan, the Shopify EmpCo app free plan, and the free Health-Claims-Checker. Save screenshots. Check the official EU text for the 27 September 2026 date.** Success: 10 claims tested, screenshots saved, and the EmpCo date confirmed against the official text or marked 'unconfirmed'.
- **Month 1** Milestone: You have 15 interviews, a lawyer engaged, a rival comparison, and a first decision: go, narrow, or stop.
  - Tasks:
  - **Finish 15 to 20 interviews. Track in a sheet: warned before (yes/no), yearly legal spend, current tools, reaction to EUR 149, reaction to a cheaper tier.** Success: 15 interviews done. Willingness-to-pay table filled in. Go signal is a suggested at least 5 who say yes with a named budget.
  - **Hire the lawyer for the 50-claim test. Use real claims from interviewees' pages. Ask for a written verdict per claim and the legal-advice view.** Success: Written results received. Error rate of the AI checks is known and you have a draft disclaimer wording from the lawyer.
  - **Complete the rival comparison with 20 real copy samples across EcoClaim, Caidera, GREP and LegalScan. Check pricing pages for any published price.** Success: One-page table done. You can name the gap in one sentence, or you record that there is no gap.
  - **Ask 5 agencies that serve DTC brands how they handle claims review today and whether per-client pricing would work. Agencies are an untested buyer in the memo.** Success: 5 agency conversations held. Decision recorded on whether agencies are a first or a later segment.
- **Month 3** Milestone: You have a manual or very thin product, a few paying pilots or a clear no, and a defined price for brands.
  - Tasks:
  - **Build the narrowest version: paste copy or a product URL, get a German report on health claims, was/now price display and disclosures, plus a saved dated entry. Skip ad-platform integrations. Add green claims only as a light check, since rivals already cover it.** Success: A test user can get a report in under 10 minutes without a demo call. Lawyer-checked rules cover the 3 areas.
  - **Run 5 to 10 paid pilots at a price from interviews. Test EUR 149 against a cheaper tier. Offer one paid live-site audit at a price you set and label as an assumption until someone pays it.** Success: At least 3 paid pilots. Record who paid, what price, and why others said no.
  - **Ask the lawyer and one trade body or warning sender contact whether a dated log carries weight in a dispute. Reword the log claim on your site to match the answer.** Success: Written view on log value. Website says only what that view supports.
  - **Review the numbers. Count paid pilots, price accepted, accuracy rate and rival gap. Decide: build the Shopify scan, narrow to one niche, or stop.** Success: One-page decision memo with a go, narrow or stop call. Go is suggested only if at least 3 brands pay and the lawyer backs the accuracy.

### Key hires

- **German food-law or competition-law lawyer (part-time adviser)** When: Week 1 to Month 1, before any paid pilot; Priority: CRITICAL; Viable until: EUR 5k MRR (assumption). Past that, the fixed-fee model probably needs a retainer or a part-time in-house legal reviewer.; Solo alternative: Use a fixed-fee review of 50 claims and a short opinion rather than a retainer. Use the Händlerbund and IHK guides only as background, not as legal sign-off. There is no real substitute for a named lawyer here.
  - Tools:
  - Notion
  - Google Sheets
  - Zoom
  - Lawyer's fixed-fee engagement letter
- **Full-stack engineer with Shopify and LLM experience** When: Month 3, only if at least 3 brands pay for pilots; Priority: IMPORTANT; Viable until: EUR 8k MRR (assumption). After that, integrations and support load likely need a hire.; Solo alternative: Build the first prototype yourself with a general AI model, a spreadsheet of rules and a simple web form. Use no-code tools for the report and dated log. Delay Shopify and ad-platform integrations.
  - Tools:
  - Shopify Partner account
  - Claude or GPT API
  - Supabase
  - Zapier or Make
- **Part-time German-speaking customer success and sales person** When: After Month 3, once pilots convert and you have more than about 15 paying brands; Priority: LATER; Viable until: EUR 10k MRR (assumption). Beyond that, solo onboarding and support likely hold back growth.; Solo alternative: Do onboarding calls yourself. Record short German video guides. Use a shared inbox and a help page.
  - Tools:
  - HubSpot free CRM
  - Loom
  - Intercom or Crisp
  - Calendly

### Next moves

- **Interview 15–20 German DTC leads in supplements and cosmetics (marketing or e-commerce leads at small brands). Ask what they spend on legal review, whether they were warned, and what tools they use now. Show them EUR 149 a month next to a cheaper tier. Do not pitch. Listen.** Done when: You have 15 completed interviews, notes written up, and a count of how many said they would pay EUR 149 a month. Assumption for a go signal: at least 5 say yes, with a named budget. That threshold is my suggestion, not a researched benchmark.
- **Find a German food-law or competition-law lawyer. Ask them to test about 50 real claims from live supplement and cosmetics pages and to answer two questions: does this tool count as legal advice, and does a dated log help in an Abmahnung dispute.** Done when: One named lawyer has agreed in writing to review the 50-claim test. You have a written error rate and a written view on legal-advice risk and log value.
- **Run the same 20 pieces of copy through EcoClaim, Caidera, GREP and LegalScan. Check what EcoClaim's 'other checks' cover. Note what each misses on German health claims, price display (was/now, 30-day lowest price) and disclosures.** Done when: You have a one-page comparison table with real outputs. It shows at least 3 checks that no rival does well, or it shows there is none. If none, you stop or change the idea.
- **Build a thin manual prototype. Take 5 to 10 real pages from willing interviewees. Review them with AI plus the lawyer's checks. Return a dated report in German. Charge nothing yet, but ask for a paid pilot afterwards.** Done when: At least 3 brands have received a report. At least 1 has agreed to pay for a pilot, or you have a clear 'no' with the reason written down.
**Next moves milestone:** In about 6 weeks you know whether small German DTC brands will pay for this, whether a lawyer will stand behind the checks, and whether any gap is left after EcoClaim, Caidera and the free tools. The memo says willingness to pay is unproven. Until these moves are done, do not build the Shopify and ad integrations.

## Risks

**Score:** 42

### Watch

- **The biggest warning causes sit outside your four rule sets. Base price is 23% of cases, image rights are 26% of all warning cases and trademarks also count (Händlerbund figures via research). A buyer may think you cover only part of their risk.** Category: Sales & Marketing; What to do: Check whether the base-price rule fits your price module. Say clearly what you do not cover. Consider adding base-price checks.
- **A low price (EUR 149 a month) with low switching costs means slow revenue. The only market figure I can state is a EUR 53.6M TAM, built on an unsourced 30,000-brand assumption. SAM and SOM are not given. Agency tiers and audit prices are also undefined.** Category: Funding; What to do: Find a real count of German supplement and cosmetics webshops. Do the revenue maths with your own numbers: how many paying brands do you need to cover costs? Interview 5 agencies and test per-client pricing.
- **'EU' is in the name, but each country has its own rules, language, enforcement and warning culture. The Abmahnung system is a German trait. Scaling beyond Germany is a different product.** Category: International; What to do: Stay in Germany until you have paying customers. Treat other markets as a later option.
- **You depend on Shopify and ad-platform access. Platform API rules, review times or a rival's app in the same store can limit you. Draft-stage ad access can be limited.** Category: Technology; What to do: Check what ad APIs really allow at draft stage before promising it. Start with a paste-in-text flow and the Shopify scan.
**Headline:** Real legal pain, but the product is unproven. Free tools, a funded rival and a legal-accuracy gap hold it below the median.

### Fix first

- **A wrong 'all clear' can hurt a customer. A brand could get a warning letter (Abmahnung) after your tool passed its copy. Courts judge claims case by case. You have no lawyer on the team. Whether this counts as legal advice under German law was not researched. This is the most severe risk, because one bad case can end trust and bring a claim against you.** Category: Litigation; What to do: Hire a German competition or food-law lawyer before launch. Ask them to test about 50 real claims and publish the error rate. Get their view on the legal-advice question. Write liability wording in your terms. Never show a plain 'compliant' label. Use 'risk flagged / no risk found by this tool'.; Most severe: true
- **Caidera is funded (EUR 300,000 pre-seed per Startbase) and already covers health claims, EmpCo and an audit trail. EcoClaim and a Shopify app offer green-claims scans, some free. Entry barriers look low, and any rival could add German health claims. The research said it found 13 competitors, but only 8 were visible to me.** Category: Competition; What to do: Run the same 20 claims through EcoClaim, Caidera, GREP and LegalScan. Write down what each one misses. Pick one gap that is easy to see, such as German health-claim wording for supplements plus 30-day price display. Build for that first.
- **Willingness to pay EUR 149 a month is unproven. Alternatives are free or cheap (free scans, a legal-text app from EUR 9.90 net a month). Small brands often have no compliance budget. Only 9% of sellers in the Händlerbund survey (335 sellers) were warned in a year. No customer said 'I would pay'.** Category: Sales & Marketing; What to do: Interview 15–20 German supplement and cosmetics DTC leads. Ask what they spend on legal review and whether they were warned. Test EUR 149 against a cheaper tier. Ask for a paid pilot or a signed letter of intent before you build more.
- **The core job is hard. The tool must know which words count as health claims (even 'gut verträglich' can). It must match authorised EU wording and German case law. A general AI model will miss edge cases and may invent a rule. The 30-day price check also needs real price history from the shop, not just page copy.** Category: Technology; What to do: Start with one rule set and one product category. Use the public EU health-claims register as a fixed reference, not model memory. Keep a test set of real claims with lawyer-checked answers. Track misses every release.
- **Founder background is not stated. Treat it as a solo or small team with no confirmed legal partner. In a market where buyers choose on trust, that gap is serious. Law firms already sell scanners to the same shop owners.** Category: Management; What to do: Add a German lawyer or regulatory expert as a co-founder, adviser or named reviewer. Show their name on the product. If you can't find one in 60 days, treat that as a warning.
- **Rules are moving. The Green Claims Directive proposal was scrapped. The EmpCo-based German ban reportedly applies from 27 September 2026, but I only saw source titles and a vendor claim for that date. Health claims and price rules are older and steadier than the green rules.** Category: Legislation; What to do: Read the German law text (UWG changes) yourself or with your lawyer. Confirm the date and what it bans. Lead your marketing with health claims and price display, not only the green deadline.
- **This is an idea with no product, no customers and no tested accuracy. The log's value is also untested. No source says courts or warning senders treat a dated log as a defence. It shows someone checked. It does not prove a claim is backed up.** Category: Stage; What to do: Ask two or three lawyers and one past Abmahnung recipient if a dated log would change an outcome. If not, treat the log as a convenience feature and do not make it the main reason to buy.

### Strengths

- **Legislation** Note: The pain is documented. Warnings cost real money: 41% of warned sellers paid EUR 1,001–2,000 and 19% paid over EUR 3,000 (Händlerbund survey, 335 sellers). Health claims are 15% of competition-law warnings. 51% say the level is unchanged-high or rising.; What to do: Use these figures in interviews and on the site, with the source named. Lead with supplements, where health-claim risk is highest.
- **Competition** Note: The self-serve niche for small German DTC brands looks thinly served. It would cover health claims, price display and disclosures in one flow, with German output. Caidera targets regulatory teams and sells by demo. EcoClaim and the Shopify app cover green claims only. The search was not exhaustive, so confirm this.; What to do: Build for a marketer with no lawyer. Aim for a first result from a Shopify URL in about 10 minutes, with no demo call.
- **Sales & Marketing** Note: Buyers already pay for warning protection. A law firm sells LegalScan, and Shopify legal-text apps start at EUR 9.90 net a month. Narrow compliance apps sell on Shopify. This shows the habit exists, not that EUR 149 works.; What to do: Position as the claims layer on top of legal-text apps. Test a lower entry plan next to EUR 149.

### Pre mortem

- **Sales & Marketing** Story: You launch with a Shopify scan and a landing page. Free sign-ups arrive from the green-claims deadline buzz. Few convert. Owners compare you with EcoClaim's free scan and a EUR 9.90 legal-text app. They say EUR 149 is too much for a tool that 'just checks text'. After three months you have a handful of paying brands. You also learn that most small shops were never warned, so the risk feels distant.; Quarter: Q1; Severity: SERIOUS; Early warning: Fewer than 1 in 10 free scans leads to a paid trial, or interviewees say 'interesting' but won't book a paid pilot.
- **Litigation** Story: A supplement brand uses your tool, gets a clean result on a claim, and publishes. A trade body or competitor sends an Abmahnung over that very claim. The brand blames you and asks for the fee back. It posts about it in a seller group. You have no lawyer on the team and your terms are thin. Trust drops fast, and you cannot show that your log helped the brand's case.; Quarter: Q2; Severity: FATAL; Early warning: A customer asks 'is this safe to publish?' and treats a pass result as legal approval, or your own test set shows missed health claims.
- **Competition** Story: Caidera or a lawyer-backed vendor adds a self-serve plan for small brands. EcoClaim adds health-claim checks and keeps its free tier. The Shopify app adds price checks. Your bundle is no longer rare. Without a lawyer's name behind the product, you lose on trust, and you have no moat. Agencies prefer free or in-house prompts. Runway ends with no clear niche left.; Quarter: Q3; Severity: SERIOUS; Early warning: A rival's pricing page or app-store listing starts to mention health claims, price display or German language, or your trials start naming a rival as the reason for not buying.

### Regulatory

**Note:** You sell a tool that tells people what is legal. That brings liability and 'legal advice' risk in Germany, and this was not researched. Check the legal-services question (Rechtsdienstleistungsgesetz) with a German lawyer. You also store customer content in an evidence log, so GDPR and data retention apply. If you use AI to flag claims, check whether any EU AI Act duties apply. I did not research this. The rules you check are also changing: the EmpCo-based German ban is reported for 27 September 2026 (confirm in the law), the Green Claims Directive proposal was scrapped, and courts judge claims case by case. A wrong output could harm customers.

**Exposure:** HIGH

### Tiles

**Price:** From EUR 149 a month (founder's figure). Anchors: free scans; legal-text app from EUR 9.90 net a month.

**Ltv cac:** Not computable. No churn, CAC or margin data. Do not quote a ratio yet.

**Breakeven:** Not computable. Costs are not stated. For scale: 10 brands at EUR 149 = EUR 1,490 a month (calculated).

**Top threat:** Caidera: funded (EUR 300,000 pre-seed), covers health claims, EmpCo and an audit trail. Free green-claims scanners also cap what you can charge.

**Market size:** EUR 53.6M TAM a year (assumption-based: 30,000 EU brands, unsourced, × EUR 1,788). SAM and SOM not stated.

**Pricing tier:** Entry subscription, single brand. Audit and agency tiers not defined.

**Summary:** ClaimCheck EU is an early, unproven idea. The legal trigger looks real. EU Directive 2024/825 (EmpCo) targets green claims, and German sources point to a ban from 27 September 2026. That date comes from source titles and one vendor, so check it in the law. Warning letters (Abmahnungen) are a documented cost. In a Händlerbund survey of 335 sellers, 9% were warned in the past year. Of those, 41% paid EUR 1,001–2,000 and 19% paid over EUR 3,000. Health claims are 15% of competition-law warnings. The only market figure is a top-down TAM of EUR 53.6M a year. It is 30,000 EU brands (an unsourced assumption) times EUR 1,788 (EUR 149 × 12). SAM and SOM were not produced. I found no software-market study for this niche. Competition is crowded. Caidera has a EUR 300,000 pre-seed and covers health claims, EmpCo and an audit trail. EcoClaim and a Shopify app offer free green-claims scans. A law firm sells a warning scanner. Cheap alternatives start at EUR 9.90 net a month. The Porter score is 46, my judgement and below the median. Willingness to pay EUR 149 a month is untested. Whether a dated log helps in a dispute is untested. Founder background and legal partner are not stated. Not launch-ready. Validate before you build.

**One liner:** A pre-publish AI reviewer that checks EU DTC marketing copy against green-claim, health-claim, price and disclosure rules, and keeps a dated evidence log.

### Hypotheses

- **Small German supplement and cosmetics DTC brands will pay EUR 149 a month for pre-publish claim checks, even though free and cheap tools exist.** Priority: HIGH; Timeline: 4–6 weeks; How to test: Interview 15–20 marketing or e-commerce leads. Ask what they spend on legal review and whether they were warned. Show a mock report on their own page. Test EUR 149 against a cheaper tier. Ask for a paid pilot or pre-order.; Success signal: At least 5 of the interviewees agree to a paid pilot or pre-order at or near EUR 149 a month (my threshold, an assumption).
- **The AI can flag German health-claim, price-display and EmpCo issues accurately enough to be trusted, and the legal-advice risk can be handled with clear wording.** Priority: HIGH; Timeline: 6–8 weeks; How to test: Have a German competition or food-law lawyer review the tool on about 50 real claims. Record misses and false alarms and publish the error rate. Ask the lawyer whether the product counts as legal advice under German law.; Success signal: The lawyer agrees to be named or to review rules. Missed risky claims are rare in the test (set the limit with the lawyer). A clear liability wording is agreed.
- **A dated evidence log changes real outcomes, and agencies will pay per client brand.** Priority: MEDIUM; Timeline: 4–8 weeks, in parallel with interviews; How to test: Ask 5 German lawyers and warning-letter handlers whether a pre-publish log helps in an Abmahnung dispute. Separately ask 10 agencies whether they would pay per client and what they pay now.; Success signal: At least 2 lawyers say the log has practical value. At least 3 agencies name a per-client price near or above the EUR 4,000 a year contract assumed in research.

### Consistency

- Note: The TAM multiplies by EUR 1,788 a year. Competitors offer free scans, a free Shopify plan and a EUR 9.90 net a month legal-text app. The full price is unproven, so the TAM may be too high.; Check: Market size vs competitor pricing; Status: TENSION
- Note: Market sources and community sources both point to EmpCo and a 27 September 2026 German ban. Much of this is source titles or a vendor, so confirm it in the official text.; Check: Legal trigger across sections; Status: CONSISTENT
- Note: Community data says base price is the top warning reason at 23%, then image rights and trademarks. Those sit outside your four rule sets. Health claims at 15% are in scope.; Check: Product scope vs warning causes; Status: TENSION
- Note: Competitors call self-serve health plus price the thinnest area. Community adds GREP, a generic claims checker, and Caidera cosmetics. The gap may be narrower than it looks. Research text was cut off at 8 of 13 competitors.; Check: The 'gap' vs competitor list; Status: TENSION
- Note: Competitors treats a credible log as the edge. Community found no source saying courts treat a log as a defence. EcoClaim already offers dated PDF reports and a certificate vault.; Check: Evidence log as a moat; Status: TENSION
**Investment memo:** ## 1. Thesis
Small German DTC brands face rules on green claims, health claims, price displays and disclosures. They have no in-house lawyer. Lawyer review is slow and costly per asset. ClaimCheck EU would be a low-touch pre-publish checker with a dated evidence log. The bet is that a bundled, German-language, self-serve tool is worth about EUR 149 a month to a marketing lead who fears a warning letter (Abmahnung).

Evidence is thin. The problem is documented. The product demand is not. Founder background, team size and legal partner are not stated. I treat it as a solo or small team with no confirmed legal partner.

## 2. Market
**Trigger.** EU Directive 2024/825 (EmpCo) targets misleading green claims. Sources name a German ban from 27 September 2026. That comes from source titles and a vendor with a sales interest, so confirm it in the official text. The separate Green Claims Directive was reportedly scrapped, so your case rests on EmpCo and existing German claims law.

**Pain.** In the Händlerbund survey of 335 online sellers, 9% were warned in the past year. Of those, 41% paid EUR 1,001–2,000 and 19% paid over EUR 3,000. Health claims were 15% of competition-law warnings. 51% of sellers said the warning level is unchanged-high or rising. This is a small survey, so read it as a signal.

**Size.** TAM is EUR 53.6M a year, calculated: 30,000 EU SME brands (an assumption, no source) × EUR 1,788 (EUR 149 × 12). Agencies are not included. SAM and SOM were not produced and I will not invent them. The nearest software proxy, RegTech, is mostly finance. Its growth figures range from about 11% to 22.6% a year depending on the vendor. That is background only. Context markets are not software spend: German dietary supplements USD 7.82B (2024), and German beauty and household care EUR 34.6B (2024, from a snippet).

**Next step.** Find a real count of German supplement and cosmetics webshops and rebuild the market bottom-up.

## 3. Product and moat
**Product.** An AI reviewer that scans a draft or live page against four rule sets. A Shopify scan reads product pages. Ad-platform integrations read ads at draft or paused stage. Each check goes into a dated log. Paid live-site audits cover existing pages.

**Competition.**
- Caidera (Berlin): health claims, EmpCo and an audit trail. EUR 300,000 pre-seed. Looks sales-led and aimed at regulated sectors. Closest rival.
- EcoClaim: free green-claims scanner, dated PDF report, certificate vault.
- Shopify EU Green Claims app: green only, free plan, same channel.
- Glacier: EmpCo checker for sustainability staff.
- GREP: generic AI claims checker, not EU-specific.
- IT-Recht Kanzlei LegalScan and legal-text apps from EUR 9.90 net a month: lawyer-backed trust.
- Truli, FoodChain ID, Acrolinx: US-based, heavy or generic.

The research text cut off at 8 of 13 competitors, so this list is incomplete.

**Moat.** No single feature is a moat. The realistic edge is the bundle, self-serve onboarding, German output and a trusted log. The log is the weak point. No source says courts or warning senders treat a log as a defence. Until a lawyer confirms value, it is a convenience feature. A named German lawyer partner could become the real moat.

## 4. Go-to-market
These are proposals, not findings.
- Start with Shopify DTC supplement brands in Germany. Health claims are the strongest evidence-backed pain. Add cosmetics after.
- Lead with a free or cheap scan of the buyer's own page to prove value in minutes, since free tools set the price anchor.
- Partner with a German competition or food-law lawyer for rule review and credibility.
- Test agencies as a second channel. One agency covers several brands. Research assumed EUR 4,000 a year per agency contract, an assumption with no evidence.
- Expect a deadline-driven spike around 27 September 2026 if confirmed.

## 5. Financials
Little can be said honestly. No costs, churn, CAC or conversion data exist, so LTV/CAC and breakeven cannot be computed.
- One brand at EUR 149 a month is EUR 1,788 a year (calculated).
- 100 brands would be EUR 178,800 a year (calculated, hypothetical, not a forecast).
- Audit price and agency tiers are undefined.
- Price is under pressure from free scans and EUR 9.90 net a month tools.

Build a cost model only after interviews give a price and a conversion rate.

## 6. Risks
1. **Willingness to pay.** Unproven at EUR 149. Many small brands have no compliance budget.
2. **Legal accuracy and liability.** Courts judge claims case by case. A wrong all-clear could cause harm. Whether this counts as legal advice under German law is not researched.
3. **Funded rival.** Caidera could move down-market.
4. **Scope.** Base price (23% of warnings), image rights and trademarks are outside your four rule sets.
5. **Evidence log value.** Untested in disputes.
6. **Regulatory shifts.** The Green Claims Directive was reportedly scrapped. Only the German date is confirmed by titles and vendors.
7. **Low base rate.** Only 9% of sellers were warned in a year.
8. **Evidence quality.** Many sources are vendor or law-firm marketing, and some were snippets only.

## 7. Ask
No raise amount, valuation or use of funds is stated, and I will not invent one. Suggested conditions before any funding:
1. 15–20 buyer interviews and at least 5 paid pilots or pre-orders near EUR 149 a month.
2. A German lawyer who tests about 50 real claims, with the error rate published, and who agrees on liability wording.
3. A bottom-up count of German supplement and cosmetics webshops.
4. A written answer on whether a dated log helps in a dispute.
5. A side-by-side test against EcoClaim, Caidera, GREP and LegalScan using the same copy.

If these pass, the case improves. If willingness to pay fails, treat it as a feature of a legal-text or Shopify compliance product, not a standalone company. Today this is not launch-ready.

**Executive summary:** ## What it is
ClaimCheck EU checks EU DTC marketing copy before it goes live. It looks at green claims, health claims, price displays and disclosures. It saves each check in a dated log. Launch market is Germany. First buyers are small supplement and cosmetics brands, then agencies.

## Why now
EU Directive 2024/825 targets misleading green claims. German sources point to a ban from 27 September 2026. Check that date in the law. Health-claim warning letters are already common. In a Händlerbund survey of 335 sellers, 9% were warned in a year, and 19% of those paid over EUR 3,000.

## Market and competition
The only market number is a top-down TAM of EUR 53.6M a year. It uses 30,000 EU brands, which is an unsourced assumption. SAM and SOM were not produced. Competition is crowded. Caidera has a EUR 300,000 pre-seed and covers health claims and EmpCo. Free green-claims scanners exist. Cheap legal tools start at EUR 9.90 net a month.

## Main risks
Nobody has shown they will pay EUR 149 a month. No lawyer is involved yet, and legal accuracy is the core trust issue. It is untested whether a dated log helps in a dispute. The top warning causes, such as base price, are outside the four rule sets.

## Verdict
Below the median, with Porter at 46 (my judgement). Not launch-ready. Next: 15–20 buyer interviews, then a lawyer test on about 50 real claims. Do not build more until both are done.

  - **Händlerbund Abmahnstudie and health-claims guide** Url: https://www.haendlerbund.de/de/ratgeber/branchen/3949-health-claims-verordnung; Why: This gives you the warning-letter cost and frequency data. Use it in interview scripts. Note that base price is the top warning cause and sits outside your four rule sets.
  - **Competitor test set: EcoClaim, Caidera, GREP, LegalScan** Url: https://www.ecoclaim.eu/tools/website-scanner; Why: Run the same 20 pieces of copy through each tool and note what they miss. EcoClaim's scanner is free. Caidera is demo-led and LegalScan is sold by IT-Recht Kanzlei, so check their access terms.
- **BUILDING & LAUNCHING**
  - Tools:
  - **Shopify App development docs** Url: https://shopify.dev/docs/apps; Why: Your Shopify product-page scan needs an app. Read the app review and data-access rules before you promise the 10-minute first result.
  - **EU Health Claims Regulation (EC) 1924/2006 on EUR-Lex** Url: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2006/1924/oj; Why: This is the legal basis for your health-claims rule set. A German food-law lawyer should review your rule set and your liability wording.
  - **Meta Marketing API and Google Ads API docs** Url: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/marketing-apis; Why: You need these to read ads at draft or paused stage. Check what each platform lets you read before you promise ad integrations. Google Ads API docs are at developers.google.com/google-ads/api.
  - **Händlerbund and IT-Recht Kanzlei (possible lawyer partners)** Url: https://www.it-recht-kanzlei.de/; Why: Law firms already sell warning protection to the same shop owners. Approach one as a reviewer or partner to close your credibility gap. No partnership is confirmed.
- **SCALING & FUNDRAISING**
  - Tools:
  - **Startbase** Url: https://www.startbase.com/; Why: Caidera's pre-seed was reported here. Use it to find German pre-seed investors in AI and legal tech. Do not raise before you have paying customers.
  - **EXIST start-up grant (BMWK)** Url: https://www.exist.de/; Why: This German programme funds founders from universities and research bodies. It only suits you if you qualify, so check the eligibility rules.
  - **Shopify App Store listing** Url: https://apps.shopify.com/; Why: This is the channel where the green-claims app competitor already sells. Reviews and install counts will be your main early proof.
  - **Marketing agency networks in Germany (for example, the GWA)** Url: https://www.gwa.de/; Why: Agencies are your second segment, but there is no evidence yet that they would pay. Test per-client pricing with a few agencies before you build agency tiers.
